Our Journey – Step 5: Seek Support if Needed
While we were incredibly lucky, we know it doesn’t always happen that way.

We got pregnant 12 days apart — something we’ll never stop being grateful for. But before that, there were years of wondering if it would ever be possible for us at all. There were doubts, diagnoses, and so many invisible layers of grief and hope.
So this last step in the journey? It’s for you — especially if your journey doesn’t look like ours.
We always said that if it hadn’t worked in the first few tries, we would seek help. And not just from fertility clinics — though that’s an important route. But also emotional help, relationship support, online communities. Because trying to conceive can be isolating, and queer couples in particular can feel like we’re navigating a system that wasn’t built for us.
We built Home Insemination Solutions to be a soft landing. Whether you’re just getting started or deep in the trying phase, we wanted a space that says, “We see you.”
At that point, Kat was scrolling through forums late at night, and I was reading way too many comment sections. We realised how often people were just asking to be heard. "Is this normal? Has anyone felt this? Am I alone in this?" You’re not. Ever.
Support might look like therapy. Or a break. Or switching methods. Or switching mindsets. Whatever it is — you deserve it. TTC isn’t a straight line. It’s more like a spiral: looping between hope, fear, trying, waiting, grieving, and starting again.
If you’re in that spiral, this is your reminder that you’re not broken. You’re not failing. You’re walking a hard road — and still holding onto love.
Wherever you are in your own journey — we’re rooting for you.
And if you need us? We’re just a message away. ♡
