How to Use the Specimen Collection Cup
The Specimen Collection Cup is designed for safe, hygienic, and easy sample collection—ideal for fertility tracking, medical testing, or artificial insemination processes.
Wash Hands Thoroughly
-
Before handling the cup or collecting a sample, wash your hands with soap and water to maintain cleanliness and reduce the risk of contamination.
Prepare the Cup
-
Remove the cup from its sterile packaging. Ensure that the cup remains clean by avoiding contact with the inside of the container or lid.
Collect the Sample
Gently collect the specimen directly into the cup. The wide opening makes the process simple and mess-free.
-
For semen collection, it’s recommended to collect via masturbation rather than intercourse, to avoid contamination from lubricants or other fluids. Check out artificial insemination processes here
Ensure the full sample is collected in the cup, including the initial portion, as it typically contains the highest concentration of sperm.
Secure the Lid
-
Immediately after collection, place the lid securely onto the cup to prevent spillage or contamination.
Label (if required)
-
If using for clinical testing or artificial insemination, label the cup with the time and date of collection. Always follow any additional instructions from your healthcare provider or fertility clinic.
Storage and Transfer
-
Use the sample as directed by your clinic or insemination plan (Learn how to use the sample Include link!!). If the sample is being transported, keep it at body temperature and deliver it within the time window recommended (typically within 1 hour of collection for semen).
Important Tips:
-
The cup is for single use only—do not reuse.
-
Keep the cup sealed in its packaging until use to maintain sterility.
-
Store at room temperature and away from direct sunlight prior to use.
